Chloé Macary-Carney is a Paris-based architect, artist and co-founder, with artist Léticia Chanliau, of the transdisciplinary intersectional feminist design and art collective named Woman Cave. She obtained the HMONP architecture license in 2021 at the National School of Architecture of Paris La Villette, from which she graduated in 2019. She has experience designing for firms such as Oualalou+Choi, 403 Dajiba and New South as well as designing and building furniture or sets for private clients. She has done artist residencies in Italy, Hungary, in France and online with the University of the Underground and the city of Kolkata. In 2022, she was artist in residence of Création en Cours organized by les Ateliers Médicis, she exhibited her first solo show “Tony Lavazza’s Sulphurous Pyramid Home” at the Budapest Galleria in Hungary, participated in the “Fitting In” exhibition at Z33 curated by Branko Popovic, exhibited at the Arnhem State of Fashion biennale, participated in Tallinn Architecture Biennale’s Handful exhibition and published her book “In Search of magical spaces” which was released at the Florence Leowy Gallery in Paris. She joined Nelly Ben Hayoun’s team in 2022 to support with production logistics and various administrative steps of projects from Tour de Moon’s BFI screening to University of the Underground’s Music Incubator programme coordination.
