Moon Dust Remix, a project developed as part of a residency in la Gaité Lyrique, Paris
In Moon Dust Remix, Nelly Ben Hayoun invited scientists to respond to the challenge of imagining the sound of Neil Armstrong’s boots on the moon. This created the soundtrack for ‘moon dust remix’ a ‘moon chorus’ of lunar scientists. Working with the original footages from Apollo 11’s mission and with Foley Artist Sue Harding, she engaged with the challenge of fabricating that sound.
