We’re delighted that Deep House Amsterdam, the world’s premier online electronic music magazine featured the University of the Underground’s ongoing project AGORA CLUB! Agora Club was the first in a series of cultural events, with special guests including Peaches Blinky Bill and Sounds of Sisso and many more designers, thinkers, performers. Taking place on Wednesday the 27th of June 2018, at De Marktkantine nightclub (one of Europes oldest and most prestigious)

Hosted by Nelly and her doppelgänger, the evening started with panel discussions with Prof Rachel Armstrong, Mirik Milan(Night Mayor Advocate), Bruce Sterling, Neurobiologist Alexander Heimel, Peaches, JL Dianthus, Cyborg Moon Ribas and more! The panels were punctuated with workshops and interactive exhibitions including a song called Trans-Jesus by the students and feminist author Jasmina Tešanović, and finishing with a secret DJ set from iconic Peaches!

Deephouse described University of the Underground as ‘a radical new form of education’, to then go on to say that Agora Club will be a night of ‘rethinking the value of utopia, philosophical systems and flux of thought within the larger context of contemporary politics and creative practice’.
