We are thrilled to share that Nelly Ben Hayoun- Stépanian has been invited to serve as a jury member for the prestigious SHARE Prize XVII, presented by The Sharing Society through the Share Festival in Torino, Italy.
Established in 2005, the SHARE Prize celebrates international excellence in contemporary art that explores the critical intersections of art, science, and technology. Each year, the festival brings together artists, theorists, designers, and technologists who use digital tools to examine and challenge our world. The prize continues to highlight innovation that not only embraces technological progress, but also interrogates its social and cultural impact.
This year’s edition ask: What will art look like in the year 2050?
Welcome to “Tomorrow Now: The Art of 2050.”
In 2025 — a quarter-century into the 21st century — the Share Festival, a pioneer of tech-art since 2005, refuses to slow down. Instead, it looks ahead another 25 years, calling on artists, designers, and dreamers to send back messages from the future.
What do the citizens of 2050 create, desire, critique?
What forms of artistic expression do they invent with their own media, their own fears, hopes, rituals?
And what machines do they build — not for our eyes, but for theirs?
As part of this year’s SHARE Prize jury, Nelly joins a legendary lineup including:
Together, they will select six extraordinary works for the 2025 Share Festival exhibition in Torino — and one winner whose speculative vision will earn the SHARE Prize itself.
